The 28th La Touche Legacy & 3rd Festival of History Programme has been announced. It is to be held on the weekend of September 23rd to September 25th in its new venue of Greystones Golf Club.Chairman of the La Touche Legacy George Jones said “they were delighted once more to be running this great weekend in association with the Greystones Archaeological and Historical Society.
The Chairperson of the GAHS Ms Rosemary Raughter said “the theme of this year’s event “Emerging Ireland Post 1916” was very appropriate as we conclude our celebrations of the 1916 Rising”
In addition to the many lectures over the weekend the opening session will include an Exhibition by St Laurence’s students on Dr James Ryan former founder and Minister in various Fianna Fail governments as well as being a resident of Greystones also included in the opening session on Friday 23rd September is an introduction to Genealogy by our own local expert Ms Catherine Wright.
