The Chairman of the La Touche Legacy George Jones this week announced details of the competition being run in conjunction with the 29th La Touche Legacy Seminar in association with the Greystones Archaeological and Historical Society 4th Festival of History.
George said “we are delighted in partnership with East Coast Radio, Anne Daly’s SuperValu and the County Wicklow Library service to commence the competition from Monday 4th  September and will run for three weeks prior to the Seminar on Friday/Saturday 29/30 September. Each week a difference question based on the permanent La Touche Family Exhibition in Greystones Library will be asked , all answers to the different questions will be obtainable by viewing the exhibition. Enter from Monday 4th September and Week 1 the question is “What was the Country of origin of David ‘Digues’ La Touche”?

 

Each week will different question will be available in the Library, on Facebook and East Coast FM

Winners will be announced on East Coast FM every Friday and Sunday on Declan Meehan’s Morning Show  and on Sunday morning on the Don Swift Show 8-10

 

George Jones added “we are thrilled that the Library Service , Anne Daly’s SuperValu and East Coast have become involved with our very successful Festival of History hope many members  of our local community will take part in competition and maybe win to free tickets (each week) to the full seminar lectures and dinner for two on the Saturday night 30th Dinner when the Guest Speaker will be Dr Martin Mansergh.
